Sometimes, after finishing a work in a naive style or a landscape, I feel the need to convey emotion more precisely, and I turn to abstraction, using the same color palette. Some abstractions are created independently of the figurative canvases.

I combine rough strokes and patches of pure colors on the canvas, roughly mixing them with a palette knife or, conversely, allowing them to flow and blend on their own, forming more complex palettes, sometimes adding small flecks of pure color. This process reminds me of the inner, heterogeneous emotional life of a person
